Unbeknownst to most, the small seaside town of White Rock is home to some of the lower mainland’s greatest thrift stores. For those who enjoy treasure hunting, a trip to White Rock promises to be rewarding! Here’s a list of our favourite thrifting spots to help you plan your visit!
1. The Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary Superfluity Thrift Store:
Celebrating its 70th year, this shop has been a fixture in White Rock since 1950. Run entirely by volunteers, this store is dedicated to providing funds for supporting White Rock’s beloved Peace Arch Hospital. The Superfluity receives donations daily and is always bursting with new treasures to discover. Shoppers can browse the budget section on the first floor, or take a trip upstairs to view the superfluity’s specially curated “Boutique” section. Be sure to peak around the corner of the building to view the Auxiliary’s 50th anniversary mural, painted by local mural artist Elizabeth Hollick.
