SUMMARY:Paint the Beach
DESCRIPTION:The Semiahmoo Arts Society hosts “Paint the Beach\,” a Plein Air painting competition on Saturday\, July 6 in Memorial Park. \nPainters are invited to join the painting competition for a chance to win a prize!  Keep an eye out while you’re exploring White Rock and watch these talented painters capture the essence of White Rock in art! \nEvent Details: Artists have 4 hours to work on their piece and work will not be accepted if it is worked on prior or after the event. Semiahmoo Arts Society will supply 1 canvas (12″ x 16″) or 1 piece of watercolour paper to each participant. After completing the painting\, work is titled and dropped off to a Semiahmoo Arts Society staff member. All finished works will be hung in the Turnbull Gallery for a month-long exhibition dedicated to this event as well as work done by the students in the Plein Air classes. \nThe exhibition will be from July 10 – August 20\, 2024\, with a closing reception on August 20 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
