DESCRIPTION:Ray Morrison\, affectionately known as the “Elder Statesman” of Vancouver comedy\, is a stand-up comic\, comedy writer\, and actor. After making his headline debut at Yuk Yuk’s in 2023\, Ray’s been spotted all over the place – from the South Rock Comedy Festival to Just For Laughs Vancouver\, the Vancouver Fringe Festival\, and even CBC’s Laugh Out Loud. Ray is the Grandpa who reminds you\, with every warm hug and quick-witted joke\, that laughter really is the best medicine. \nSyd Bosel\, a touring Canadian comic and more importantly\, Ray’s longtime friend. These two have been cracking each other up for over 40 years. Syd’s comedy is hilariously sarcastic\, with material drawn from her 1\,000 year marriage\, parenthood\, and the “glories” of nature. In 2024\, Syd made history as the first woman to win BC’s Yuk Off\, and went on to grace the cover of The Georgia Straight (Feb 2025). You can catch her on CBC’s The Debaters and at the 2025 Winnipeg Comedy Festival. \nRay and Syd launched their comedy careers at the same time and have been selling out large venues together ever since. Now\, for one night only\, they’re teaming up with Peninsula Productions to put on a special show in celebration of Ray’s 70th birthday. \nJoin this dynamic duo in White Rock for two shows only on June 13\, 2025\, at 6PM and 8PM.
