SUMMARY:Weather Watching: Ocean Prayers and Provocations
DESCRIPTION:Weather Watching is a project by visual artist Erica Grimm in collaboration with acclaimed sound artist Sheinagh Anderson and artist/arborist Tracie Stewart. \nThe installation and experimental soundscape draws analogies between human bodies and the global oceanic body of water. We are metaphorically skin boats sustained by\, and inseparable from\, a changing global ocean. This exhibition calls attention to the life-sustaining connections between the precariously balanced chemistry of the ocean and the human body. \nThis exhibition runs concurrently as a satellite exhibition to Salt Water and Skin Boats at The Reach Gallery Museum in Abbotsford.
