SUMMARY:Yuk Yuk's Comedy Night
DESCRIPTION:The Yuk Yuk’s Surrey team is bringing back more shows to Oceana Parc Playhouse (a.k.a. White Rock Players Club) in White Rock with 5 comedy nights throughout the 2023-24 season. The first show will be held on Saturday\, September 16th with Comedy Album Juno Winner\, Jacob Samuel. Jacob Samuel’s career has been on fire in the last few years\, including CBC Debaters radio appearances and performances on CTV Comedy\, CBC\, Just For Laughs Montreal and the Winnipeg International Comedy Festival. He will be joined by hosts Katrina Bennett and Johnny Perrotta. \nIn addition to the first September 16th show\, the following headliners are now scheduled for the entire season: \n\nNovember 4th with Damonde Tschritter. Tschritter has been hailed as “… this country’s finest comedic storyteller” by The Globe & Mail and has been featured on CTV\, HBO\, Comedy Central and CBC’s The Debaters.\nJanuary 13th with Chris Griffin. Griffin is one of Canada’s most active touring comedians who has won 2 Vancouver Comedy Awards and been featured at Just For Laughs Vancouver and the San Francisco International Comedy Competition.\nApril 6th with Sophia Johnson. Originally from New Zealand\, Johnson is now one of Canada’s fastest-rising comedians. Her recent debut on CBC-Gem with Just For Laughs Vancouver & opening up for her idol Maria Bamford marked significant 2023 milestones.\nMay 25th with Cedric Newman. The Jamaican-born comedian was raised in Montreal and now calls Toronto home. Newman has been seen on CBC and CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada Season 8 and graced stages across Canada and Europe.\n\nThe expanded White Rock Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Night series is not only selling individual show tickets for the entire year for $30 (including taxes & fees) but it has also added a Season Pass option for an all-inclusive price of $99.
