Lest We Forget: White Rock During the War Years
October 13 – November 12, 2023
White Rock Museum & Archives
The war years of 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 influenced the lives of all Canadians. The White Rock Museum & Archives annual exhibit – Lest We Forget: White Rock During the War Years remembers the people who participated in the war efforts both overseas and at home and looks at how the wars impacted all aspects of life in White Rock. Thousands of men and women served their country on the front lines. Many more stayed home in White Rock and served in the workforce, in convalescence, and in voluntary service organizations – wherever they were needed. We invite you to explore the history of White Rock at war through the museum’s collection and archival material.

And Just So Long – October 15, 7 pm and 2 pm
As part of the White Rock Arts and Culture Festival, Peninsula Productions is presenting two Staged Readings of original, unproduced, new works. This is a platform, not for the theatre, but for the playwright, to support the playwright with a place to have their plays performed, in front of an audience and get validation as an artist, to show our community how vital and relevant theatre is. Audience members will be part of an exciting phase in the evolution of these plays, participating by critiquing and suggesting possible ways to make the plays even better.
