Explore White Rock is an independent, non-profit society engaged with attracting visitors to White Rock, British Columbia. Increasing awareness of local activities, restaurants, overnight accommodations, businesses, and tourism opportunities is the primary objective of the society. To accomplish this goal, Explore White Rock uses research, communications, and marketing campaigns to engage with visitors prior to arrival to encourage travel to the region. While visitors are in the community, the society employs a variety of experience enhancement tactics, such as visitor information agents, to increase visitor satisfaction and encourage repeat visits.
White Rock is a spectacular destination and the Tourism White Rock Association is dedicated to increasing the number of visitors who experience the unique and local businesses that make it such a special place to explore. By working together with our local tourism partners, the society promotes and enhances the diverse array of tourism opportunities in White Rock with the ultimate aim of solidifying White Rock as the top beachside destination in British Columbia.
Official Society Information:
1. The name of the Society is “TOURISM WHITE ROCK ASSOCIATION”.
2. The primary purposes of the Society are:
(a) To develop, encourage, assist and promote tourism within the City of White Rock;
(b) To work in collaboration with the White Rock and South Surrey Chamber of Commerce, the City of White Rock, the White Rock Business Improvement Association and tourism industry stakeholders to develop, encourage, assist and promote tourism within the City of White Rock;
(c) To acquire, raise, collect, administer and expend revenue, including without limitation, funds received from the City of White Rock, the White Rock and South Surrey Chamber of Commerce and the White Rock Business Improvement Association in order to carry out the purposes of the Society; and
(d) To explore, develop, encourage, assist, promote and undertake entrepreneurial activities which provide measured benefits to the Society’s purposes and the local tourism industry.
3. Non-Profit – The activities of the Society shall be carried on without purpose of gain for the members and any profits or other accretions to the Society shall be used in promoting the purposes of the Society. This clause is unalterable.
