Get ready to laugh, because comedy is back at White Rock’s Oceana Parc Playhouse with five hilarious comedy nights scheduled throughout the 2023-24 season.
The first show will be held on Saturday, September 16th with Comedy Album Juno Winner, Jacob Samuel. Jacob Samuel’s career has been on fire in the last few years, including appearances on the CBC Debaters, and performances on CTV Comedy, CBC, Just For Laughs Montreal and the Winnipeg International Comedy Festival. He will be joined by hosts Katrina Bennett and Johnny Perrotta.
In addition to the September 16th show, the following headliners are scheduled for the entire season:

November 4 with Damonde Tschritter. Tschritter has been hailed as “…this country’s finest comedic storyteller” by The Globe & Mail and has been featured on CTV, HBO, Comedy Central and CBC’s The Debaters.

January 13 with Chris Griffin. Griffin is one of Canada’s most active touring comedians who has won 2 Vancouver Comedy Awards and been featured at Just For Laughs Vancouver and the San Francisco International Comedy Competition.

April 6 with Sophia Johnson. Originally from New Zealand, Johnson is now one of Canada’s fastest-rising comedians. Her recent debut on CBC-Gem with Just For Laughs Vancouver & opening up for her idol Maria Bamford marked significant 2023 milestones.

May 25 with Cedric Newman. The Jamaican-born comedian was raised in Montreal and now calls Toronto home. Newman has been seen on CBC and CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada Season 8 and graced stages across Canada and Europe.
