White Rock is a city divided … by geography! To access the waterfront from the entertainment and business district is a bit of a walk … down a very steep hill! Fortunately, during the summer there are two free transit services operating in the city. One route shuttles passengers along the waterfront and the other connects our shopping, entertainment and recreation areas.
The Waterfront Shuttle travels along Marine Drive to connect West Beach to East Beach (between Parker Street and Anderson Street). It makes three trips per hour and runs seven days a week, during the afternoon and evening hours, from April 1 to September 30.
The White Rock Trolley runs weekends, holidays, and some Thursday evenings (to coincide with the popular Summer concert series) from May 19 until September 3. The trolley runs hourly from 11:30am – 8:30pm on the above mentioned days.
Public (timed and metered) parking is available throughout the City of White Rock. Parking at the waterfront and along Marine Drive is on a pay-per-space system and rates are $3.25/hour (7 days a week, Apr 1 – Sep 30) and $1.50/hour (7 days a week, Oct 1 – Mar 31).
