Peninsula Productions launches its 2021-22 season with Joan MacLeod’s one-woman show, Gracie, starring Lili Beaudoin. Gracie is a dramatic monologue that tells the fictional coming-of-age story about a girl who leaves the USA with her family for the town of Bountiful, a polygamous religious community in British Columbia. The play invites us to see this world through Gracie’s eyes at five different ages – to share the exhilaration of a bike ride through the country to the oppression of community values.
