Beckoned by the Sea: Women at Work on the Cascadia Coast By interviewing women living and working on the coast of British Columbia, Washington and Oregon, Sylvia has provided a portrait of women working in occupations linked to the sea. From fish boat captains and marine biologists to lighthouse tenders and history keepers. Beckoned by the Sea tells their stories and showcases their contributions.
