Dancing at the Pier

Head to the waterfront for the exciting White Rock Dancing at the Pier events! This free and fun community gathering is perfect for all ages and abilities, offering a delightful way to spend a summer evening.

Start your day at the beautiful White Rock beach, enjoy an early dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants along Marine Drive, and then head to Memorial Park to dance the night away. The event starts at 5:45 PM with a group Latin dancing lesson led by the talented Javier Solis of Gemini Dance from Portland, OR. Javier will guide you through beginner salsa and bachata moves, making it easy for everyone to join in.

Following the lesson, Nico Rana, a Vancouver-based Afro-Cuban dance instructor, will lead a lively group dance (“suelta”) until 10 PM. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn new dance styles, meet new people, and have a great time under the stars.

Parking is available at the West Beach Parkade, at 14935 Victoria Ave (corner of Victoria Ave and Vidal St, about two blocks from Memorial Park). We encourage carpooling where possible to make parking easier for everyone.
