TEDx White Rock has finalized a dynamic lineup of speakers for its first annual event on the Semiahmoo Peninsula.
Designed to spark conversation and connection, TEDx went online in 2009 and has reached 100,000 talks globally. On May 31, White Rock will be joining the ranks of more than 2,500 other cities to host their own TEDx event at Blue Frog Studios.
“We are excited to have a roster of engaging speakers with profound ideas for our inaugural TEDx,” says Jamie MacDonald, organizer of TEDx White Rock. “TEDx is a great opportunity to spark conversation and connection at a local level, and spread ideas from within the city on a global platform.”
Among 14 speakers joining the conversation May 31st is Member of Parliament, former Member of the Legislative Assembly and past Mayor, Gordon Hogg; former BC Lions Football Centre, Angus Reid; Vancouver film-maker, producer and director Arun Fryer; author Denise Walker; Trinity Western University President Dr. Robert Kuhn and Vancouver Coastal Health Community liaison Guy Felicella.
