How many of White Rock’s beautiful murals can you find? Grab a snack and hot chocolate from one of our fabulous coffee shops and start walking! You can find artwork, waiting to be discovered, around almost every corner, but one of our favourite forms of public art is the colourful murals that adorn the sides of many buildings throughout the city. We’ve even created a map with most of the murals so you can plot your journey. Snap a selfie with your favourite mural, upload it to your social media and tag #explorewhiterock. We’ll share our favourites!

Who says you can’t go to the beach in winter? Bundle up and be sure to bring your umbrella … but the beach is still calling! Hunt for crabs under the rocks, search for treasures in the seagrass, see what creatures you can spy in the tidal pools and keep your eyes peeled for colourful pieces of beach glass. And winter is the best time of year for sandcastles … the wet sand at low tide is the perfect texture for building.
