Please note the White Rock Festival of Lights has been extended until January 23.

Keep the festive feeling alive with a visit to the White Rock Festival of Lights. Until January 23, White Rock’s waterfront has been transformed into a wonderland of twinkling lights. The lights are turned on at 4:30 pm and stay until about 10:00 pm, so bundle your household into the car and drive-by or enjoy a socially-distanced stroll through the light displays. And if the urge to snack hits while you’re taking in the lights, rumour has it that White Rock’s favourite food carts, Little oOties Mini Donuts and Thai Affair Rolled Gelato will be on-site! Or make a reservation for dinner at your favourite local restaurant … many of them have covered and heated patios so you can eat and marvel at the lights … and the view.

The ever-popular illuminated sea horses are back, as are the living Christmas trees decorated by local businesses, and the huge Christmas tree that sits at the centre of it all. The Magical Meadow is decorated with thousands of lights and hundreds of lanterns created by students from local elementary schools. And new this year are the light panels installed on the railway fencing between the White Rock Museum and the pier. Each panel was sponsored by a local business.

The White Rock Festival of Lights begins November 28, 2020, and runs until January 23, 2021.  This event is outdoors and allows for social-distancing.
