Did you know that White Rock has it’s very own orchestra? The White Rock City Orchestra was established almost 50 years ago and have since dedicated itself to providing classical music concerts in accessible environments for all to enjoy. During a typical year, the WRCO performs at least 2 major concerts at Christmas and in the springtime featuring music that appeals to all ages and tastes. But, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, they, like many other arts organizations, have been forced to cancel concerts and find different ways to continue to make music to engage and inspire. Their most recent venture is the creation of a video compilation, “We Like it Here!” composed with the music of the orchestra and featuring photographs from around White Rock by local photographers Corry Kriticos and Christy Fox.
